Chapter 7: Part 3: The Forgotten Ones

Difficulty: Very Difficult
Heroes: Anub'arak, Arthas
Significant Items: Crown of Kings, Claws of Attack +15, Hood of Cunning
Side Quests: Find the Gold Stashes

The last of this three part chapter is all about speed. With only 10 minutes available, you're going to to make some quick decisions. Thankfully, after reading this walkthrough, you can make the decision beforehand.. so lets go.

Hero Development Guide:
Anub'arak will Rise to level 8 and Arthas will degrade to Level 3 on this mission.

    Anub'arak:
Level 8: Level 3 Impale, Level 3 Spiked Carapace, Level 1 Carrion Beatles, Locust Swarm

    Arthas:
Level 3: Level 2 Death Coil, Level 1 Unholy Aura

General Guide:
For the majority of the mission, you'll control only Arthas. Now at Level 3, his fighting capability is pathetic. You'll need to run past most enemies and kill the rest with Death Coil

1. You won't have time to go destroying every crate you see, we'll tell you which ones has stuff in them.

2. Use Death Coil with wild abandon, if you've been following this guide, Arthas should have plenty of mana, if nothing else.

Flight of Arthas:
Follow the Red Line, beware of the traps. We detail how to get past the obstacles below.

A: You begin with a flame trap. Before you run past, destroy the crates, pick up the Potion of Greater Healing. Yes, drop your worst item and pick up this potion. You'll need it, and I promise that you'll get a better item before the end of this level to fill that missing slot. Nothing to say about the Flame Trap, just time it, and run past. If you fail, you lose 150hp, not too bad.

Timing is the Key

On the way to B, to a quick detor to the little cavity on the West, pick up the Gold Coin. B: Another trap that requires precise timing. can't say much more. Just make sure to step on each switch, which will disable enough of the flames spurting from the ground to allow you to time the next one. You may wish to same, as each hit causes 200hp of damage. At the third square, flip the lever to open the Door to the North, kill the Level 1 Scorpion, he drops Claws of Attack +15! Get the Gold Coin,

C: Kill the Level 3 and Level 1 mudcrab, use Death Coil, heal at the fountain of life.

D: This is the tough part, there's too many faceless ones for you to right. Right around the Spiral, you'll meet barriers at each corner. Destroy the Power cell (in 2 hits) to continues. Death Coil the Sorcerer in the center twice as you do this. Once you've reach the center, and destroyed the cell there, a spectral bridge appears, allowing you to reach the Chamber at E.

E: More faceless ones here, but thankfully most of the ones in the previous room won't follow. One will Ensnare you. This is where you should use your Potion of Greater Healing, restoring your life to almost full. Flicking the two switches will allow you to get the Hood of Cunning, grab it. Now you won't to kill these faceless ones. Run around, cast Death Coil. 1 Coil + 1 Attack and kill the Pink level 2's, 1 coil can kill the Blue Level 2's, but you'll need 2-3 against the Level 4. However kill him first, he drops a Potion of Healing... and a Rune, very useful. Also Coil the Sorcerer 1 More time to kill it, it Drops runes and a Tome of Intelligence +2:

F: Not too much to do here, except to be patient. take it one square at a time, till you make it to the other side. Death Coil the creatures on different tiles, so they die before you reach them. Almost everyone drops a Rune of Mana.

G: Meet up with Anub'arak and Crypt Fiends. You should have at least 2.5 minutes left.

H. You face a big fight here, but use the same tactics as the previous mission. The Faceless Ones don't stand a chance. Race down, attack the crates, get the last coin.

I. You must kill all the Faceless ones in this chamber for the door opposite to open. This is rather tough, there's a Faceless One Annihilator that has 2550 hp. Let Anub'arak take all the hits, cast Locust Swarm Swarm... your Crypt Fiends will focus fire from behind, and burrow whenever enemies engage them. The boss drops a Crown of Kings! Get it! If you still have time, break the crates and get the items... Step through the door, you're out!
