VIllage |
This mission is fairly difficult, and very be
extremely hard, if not for an imbalance within the Naga Race. By
getting the overpowered unit, and almost exclusively the
overpowered unit, and the support of the Draenei, you can easily
win.
Hero Development Guide: Prince
Kael, Lady Vashj will rise to Level 6 on this Chapter.
Prince Kael: Level 7: Level 3 Flame Strike, Level 3 Banish,
Phoenix Level 8: Level 3 Flame Strike, Level 3 Banish,
Level 1 Mana Siphon Phoenix
Lady Vashj: Level 7: Level 3 Forked Lightning, Level 3
Cold Arrow, Tornado
Level 8: Level 3 Forked Lightning, Level 3 Cold Arrow, Level 1 Mana Shield, Tornado
The First Demon Gate: It looks like
Illidan's being an idiot, and decides to try to shut down the
gate, while you've got a few pesky swordsmen and archers to defend
against an onslaught of demons... right. You'll need all your
micro skills for this, turn game speed to slow.
Summon a Phoenix with Kael, then quickly hotkey your production
buildings, the Barracks and Spawning Pool. Get them to train
Swordsmen and Myrmidons, and set the really point to where your
heroes are. Bring your defences from A and B to C, so that you've
got a few extra swords men and two Mur'gul reavers.
 | | Tornado also serves a great way to
delaying and confusing the enemy. |
You'll need to protect Illidan for 3 minutes as progressively
tougher demons come through the gate. Use Flamestrike and Forked
Lightening with wild abandon. Against multiple tough enemies, such
as Doom Guards, Banish one of them and get your Phoenix to kill
it. Considering they have Heavy Armor, Magic Damage does
200%, now add in the extra 150% due to Banish, your Phoenix will deal 300% damage to them! When the Phoenix
is about to turn into an Egg, fly it back behind your men.
Once their forces become overwhelming, Launch a Tornado to slow
their advance. You should be able to survive, but you may lose all
your units... Thankfully, all demons dies once the gate is
shut.
Phew, that was tough, now don't try that again till you've got a
full supply of troops and no enemies to fight!
Base Construction: There's three
enemy bases, D, E and F. While the Orange at D will attack the
Draenei exclusively, Purple and Dark Green will attack you. Purple
has two different attacks, the first consists of two Red Dragons,
the second with about 10 Raiders and 10 Grunts.
Dark green attacks with a smaller force, consist of around 6
raiders and 6 Grunts, but they'll hit B instead, so you'll need to
have defences on both sides of your base.
1. Build an expansion at the Goldmine near C. 2. Build around
10 Guard Towers at the Entrance A, with farms in front. 3.
Build around 4 Guard Towers at B, with farms in front. 4.
Research Lumber Harvesting and Masonry Upgrades. 5. Meanwhile,
build a second Temple of Azshara. Research Abolish magic. 6.
Spend all of your supply on Couatls, build around 24 of them.
7. Also maintain 3 Naga Sirens. 8. While building troops,
upgrade to Castle and get up to level 3 Masonry Upgrade. 9,
Upgrade your Naga units to 3/3 at the Temple of Tides
Couatls cost only 2 supply, and are more powerful than a wyvern.
In addition, they can abolish enemy spells! These guys are totally
overpowered.. and your only chance of victory.
During this process, the enemy will attack you multiple times.
That's why you needed the Guard Towers, but why not Cannon Towers
or Water Guardians? All Fel Orcs and Demons do Chaos Damage, which
means they'll tear through Fortified Armor just as easily as Heavy
Armor. Therefore, with upgraded Guarded Towers having more hp,
they're
the preferred choice. Cannon Towers, though good, do siege rather than piecing damage, and hence deal 100% rather
than 200% against enemy Raiders. Also.. they can't attack the Dragons.
Your three heroes are a match for any assault. Buy an Orb of Flame
for Illidan so he can attack air. You'll find that the Red Dragons
die almost instantly to a barrage of 12 Couatls. The toughest
thing you'll face are the Level 6 Purple Blademster and the Level
5 Green Blademaster. In either case, Forked Lightning allows you
to get rid of the mirror images quickly.
The Draenei Village: Once you've
got about 18 of them, use 12 Couatls to fly to G. Kill the enemy
Maidens of Pain, who can't attack air. free some Draenei from the
cages, who'll join your fight. The Draenei who's permanently
cloaked serves as a great scout.
Now
fly South to J, you'll be given the side quest to destroy the
orange base for the Draenei. Before doing so, hit the 9 crates and
barrels littered about the Draenei base, picked up the Runed
Braces and Belt of Giant Strength! | | Use Couatls to Devastate the enemy Defense force as they
come to attack your towers. | Orange is
actually pretty simple, stock up on 3 Ivory towers, and bring two
your heroes... say Kael and Illidan to the bridge between the
Draenei and Orange base. Leave the other to defend against enemy
Dragons. Quickly erect 3 towers outside the enemy base, and guard
it with all 24 of your Couatls, and 2 heroes. When the enemy comes
barging out, your Couatls can destroy them with utter easy.
Send all your forces in, using Metamorphosis and Flame Strike to
deal death to enemy towers, while your Couatls destroy their
troops... then focus on the production buildings. There may be one
Red Dragon guarding their base... by 2 volleys from your Couatls
will kill it. Easy! Send in a peasant and expand there.
Now the Draenei will join you on your fight. Every few minutes,
they will send out an attack on the other two Fel Orc bases. While
these attacks are hopeless without your assistance, they do make
things a lot easier for you If the enemy does strike your base
with a large attack during this, you can spare 12 Couatls to deal
with it quickly and still win the Battle..
The Green Orc Base: This base is
better defended than orange, and you'll need to attack with
slightly more caution. First of all, replenish your troops. Build
two Arcane Vaults and 4 Guard Towers at K, well out of sight. Now
send Kael back to base, and get Illidan and Lady Visaj to guard
your outpost. Kael will now take care of defences back at main.
Encroach slowly towards E with more towers. Now wait for a Draenei
attack... they'll siege E from the North, diverting all of the
enemy forces. During this mayhem, send in your 24 corsairs, and
deal a crippling blow to their base by destroying a Bestiary. This is
where their Red Dragons are trained... by eliminating them, you'll
stop them from build those huge beasts.
Once Green is dispelled the Draenei attack, run your Couatls back
to your towers. Using a combination of Forked Lightning and
Metamorphosis, in conjunction with your towers and Couatls, you
can kill the 30 or so orcs. Rush into their base with everything
you've got. While the Couatls take care of the enemy, cast Tornado
on the other Bestiary... Kill it, followed by the Altar, and
you've won.
Expand here. Meanwhile, creep the Eredar Warlocks a J. Free up
another Draenei Warrior and destroy the crates. Pick up a Hood of
Cunning.
 | | Use the Couatls and Towers to kill
the Red Dragons, while Kael Flamestrikes oncoming land troops. |
The Purple Orc Base: Only purple
left.. but they're also the most difficult, guarded by 6 Red
Dragons at any one time. Repeat the exact same procedure as you
did above, except double the amount of towers your build. before
you can lead out the enemy attack, you'll want at least 20 or so
Guard Towers. And you can guard it with all three of your
heroes.
Also there's now only one entrance, so there's no way for you to
do a surprise attack from behind. Instead, just keep building your
towers closer... and sooner of later. One Draenei attack will lead
the enemies into the range of your towers as they try to kill the
Draenei Demolisher. This is when your charge forward, slow the
whole defence force with your Couatls, and Heroes. Oh, bring your
Sirens out as well, for Frost Armor.
Once the enemy wave is dead, proceed forwards to Flamestrike their
Towers, Tornado their Bestiaries... and deal as much damage as
you can to their base before they regroup with a second wave...
retreat to your towers, kill them and repeat the process. You may
need to wait for 3 Draenei attacks, before you've dealt enough
damage to their base to allow you to kill them. Remember, 6
Dragons are tough.
Closing The Portals: All that
remains to close the portals at I, H and F. n order of difficulty,
I is the easy, H is too bad, and F is just plain hard.
 | | With over 30 Couatls, oncoming demons won't know what hit them. |
For the Portals at I and H, build up to 100 supply of Couatls,
this should give you around 30. Gather them around the entrance of
the Portal so that they're all able to attack any unit standing at
the entrance of the Portal. Remember that there are creates next to
each Portal, and may contain runes that'll help you during battle.
Activate Mana Shield, Summon a Phoenix, and then move Illidan to
the Circle of Power.
Enemy units will pour from the Portal.. but only one at a time.
With 30 Couatls, you should be able to kill almost all units that
come out in just 1 volley! This will save you from being
overwhelmed. In the few cases where it may take 2, such as
Infernals, have Lady Vashj take the hits with her Mana Shield...
it's simple.
The Portal at F is more difficult, as a lot of units will take up
to 2 volley, including powerful Nether Dragons with 2200 HP, lots
of Infernals, and Queens of Pain. Hence it is necessary for you to
build about 3-4 Guard Towers at the entrance as well. Since by
now, you really don't need harvest, bring your peasants to
surround the towers and have them on auto repair. With this force,
you'll be able to defend the Portal with ease. Mission
complete.
